Aviation Compliance Assistant - Part Time | Community College of Baltimore County - Military Veterans

The purpose of this position is to provide entry level accounting and compliance support for the College in accordance with federal, state and internal guidelines. High School Diploma/GED with five (5) years of experience with transaction processing, account reconciliation, billing support, ad-hoc reporting, or development and enhancement of monitoring processes, or an Associate?s degree in business, accounting, finance or a related field with three (3) years of experience with transaction processing, account reconciliation, billing support, ad-hoc reporting, or development and enhancement of monitoring processes required; knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office applications with a level of intermediate Excel skills.  Strong demonstrated performance in compliance support, preferably including Veteran?s Administration (VA) clients.  Aviation operations experience preferred. Assist and provide information to students, faculty, administrators, and the college community. Enter data (such as budgets, student accounts, enrollment, and other records) into college systems.  Process the data, as needed. Perform regular and ad-hoc internal audits of records. Research, analyze, and resolve any discrepancies.  Make corrections, as needed. Compile reports, documents, forms, and correspondence.   Create, prepare, run and analyze student and finance reports and data. Maintain files and records in an organized and efficient manner. Assist with implementation and maintain curriculum and record compliance regulations, such as Veterans Administration, FAA, MHEC and Middle States.          8. Support eligibility qualification and credentialing for consideration in the student?s financial aid enrollment status as defined by the   VA, US Department of  Education and/or COMAR.  C ollaborate with the financial aid team to address data issues and resolve student issues.        9.  Collaborate with Finance for billing reconciliation with corresponding and compliance documentation. Collaborate with Enrollment and Student Services staff and various academic departments to ensure efficient and accurate daily processing of registration and academic transactions.        11. Other duties as assigned.
