The Patient Services Representative plays a crucial role in ensuring a positive experience for patients within a healthcare setting. This position involves managing front desk operations, assisting with patient inquiries, and facilitating effective communication between patients and healthcare providers. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.

Duties

  • Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing assistance as needed at the front desk.
  • Manage patient check-in and check-out processes efficiently.
  • Schedule appointments and coordinate care plans with healthcare providers.
  • Maintain accurate patient records using computerized systems, including eClinicalWorks.
  • Handle clerical tasks such as filing, data entry, and coding for insurance purposes, including Medicare.
  • Respond to patient inquiries regarding services, procedures, and insurance coverage.
  • Collaborate with medical staff to ensure seamless patient care and communication.
  • Uphold confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations in all patient interactions.



Skills
  • Experience in a hospital or healthcare environment is preferred.
  • Proficiency in office management tasks and clerical duties.
  • Familiarity with coding practices related to medical billing is a plus.
  • Strong computer skills, particularly with electronic health record systems like e ClinicalWorks.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities to interact effectively with patients and staff.
  • Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
  • A compassionate demeanor with a focus on patient-centered care.


This role is essential in supporting the operational efficiency of our healthcare facility while ensuring that patients receive the highest level of service.

Hours vary throughout the week (ex: M 8a-4:30p, T 7:30a-4p, W 8a-4:30p, Th 12p-8:30p F 8:30a-5p)

One evening shift per week is required to be worked by all employees.
Saturdays are on a rotation - approximately 1 Saturday every 5-8 weeks.
Schedule for Saturday - 830a-1230p
