Transportation Analyst
General Information
Hitachi Energy is seeking a Planning & Fulfillment Specialist for its Jefferson City, MO location. This role is responsible to support the development of the planning & fulfillment process, skills and tools and support process improvement projects.
Your Responsibilities
- Optimize truck load shipments that support customer delivery dates
- Coordinate shipments with carriers and customers
- Supports local Operations Planners Master Schedule Planner and Material planner
- Supports the local implementation of planning technology solutions
- Performs various transportation duties that typically involve substantial financial commitments, technical complexities, or high priority
- Ensure compliance with the Company's established quality standards and business requirements, and promote customer satisfaction
- Develop long-term continuous improvement programs in conjunction with customers, vendors and transportation groups
- Evaluate and make recommendations regarding introduction of advanced technologies and related measures to achieve operating efficiencies and increase customer satisfaction. Provide technical assistance to less experienced staff
Your Background
- Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field, and up to 5 years of relevant experience; or, Associates degree in a business or related field and 4 to 6 years of relevant experience
- Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi ABB Power Grids in the US
- Prior planning, scheduling, logistics experience. Excellent Microsoft Office skills
- Prefer SAP experience
- Good coordinating skills to handle multiple logistics responsibilities
