We are looking for a talented Mechanical Maintenance – Level II (2 nd Shift) to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Cummins Inc. facility in Rocky Mount, NC .

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:





  • Ensuring Operational Availability : By performing maintenance and support tasks, you will keep critical equipment operational, directly affecting productivity and capability.

  • Enhancing Quality : Through high standards of workmanship and regular quality inspections, you will contribute to the overall quality of the products and processes.


  • Improving Equipment Reliability : Your feedback into the Preventive Maintenance system will help in reducing downtime and improving equipment reliability.


  • Optimizing Delivery : By maintaining equipment and minimizing constraints, you will ensure that production goals are met efficiently.


  • Driving Continuous Improvement : Your participation in problem-solving and continuous improvement activities will lead to process enhancements and innovation.


  • Fostering Teamwork : Effective communication and active participation in TPM teams will strengthen team dynamics and collective problem-solving.

RESPONSIBILITIES

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Control Safety : Understand and manage risks associated with controls in a manufacturing setting, including electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Develop and follow safe work practices to mitigate these risks and ensure a safe operating environment for machinery and personnel.


  • Manufacturing Knowledge : Utilize your understanding of manufacturing processes to effectively implement changes and improvements. Stay abreast of current manufacturing techniques and technologies to contribute to the continuous improvement of the function.




Education/Experience





  • High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.


  • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.


  • Requires some work experience or intermediate level knowledge obtained through education, training, or on-the-job experience.




QUALIFICATIONS

Additional Information:





  • This is a 2 nd shift position from 1:30 pm – 10 pm.


  • Manufacturing equipment experience preferred.


  • Knowledge of blueprint reading, troubleshooting hydraulic and pneumatic systems desired.
