Job Description:

Senior Technical Consultant -  Track Design  – Rail & Transit – Virtual Based - Toronto , Canada

Opportunity:

Parsons is now hiring for highly  experienced Senior Technical Consultant to perform high level Track Design to support our transit and high-speed rail projects in North America.

Parsons is providing engineering and design services for multiple projects across north America including projects in Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Toronto, New York, Baltimore, and Honolulu ! The Parsons teams are full-service design, construction, and technology integration designers that utilize full 3D models in the design process. Parsons provides innovative, sustainable solutions that reduce traffic congestion and improve air quality, while helping commuters get to their destinations safely and reliably.

 This role can be virtually based in the Toronto, Canada area. This is a fully remote working opportunity for experienced professionals supporting various projects in Canada and the USA !

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the track alignment design utilizing AutoCAD Civil3D or MicroStation ORD.
  • Transit design experience consists of mainline track alignment and yards and  experience with trackwork construction and special trackwork.
  • Ability to work as part of a virtual design team.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert with rail track alignment designs

Requirements :

A 4 year Degree in Engineering preferred, and at least  15 years or more with track design engineering for large scale rail transit systems.

Experience with light or heavy rail track alignment systems.

Any experience with the California Public utilities commission is desirable, but not required.
