Job Summary:
The University is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounts Payable Director to lead and manage the Accounts Payable Services Department. This position will play a pivotal role in overseeing the efficient and compliant processing of all University payments, ensuring timely and accurate transactions that support the University's mission, financial health, and operation success. The Accounts Payable Director will lead a team of professionals, collaborate with departments across campus, and oversee the integration of new technologies and process to streamline and improve efficiency. The Director will be a strategic partner to senior leadership in developing policies, ensuring adherence to regulations, and advancing best practices in accounts payable operations.

Skills /Knowledge/Abilities:
The ideal candidate for the Accounts Payable Director role will hold a bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration, complemented by at least seven years of progressive accounting leadership experience within a large, complex organization. They should possess a strong background in compliance, external reporting, and knowledge of federal, state, and university regulations. Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a proven track record of driving process improvements are essential. Outstanding communication and collaboration skills, coupled with a commitment to teamwork, are critical to fostering effective partnerships across departments and ensuring the organization's financial operations run seamlessly.
