Job Summary:
The Department of Theatre at Barnard College seeks two part-time Adjunct Lecturers to co-teach Practicum Design Thesis Festival during the Spring semester.
Job Description:
Provide training and practical work instruction for student designers on the Senior Thesis Festival. Responsibilities include:
- Co-teaching 1 section of Thesis Festival Design (12 undergraduate students max.); involves substantial number of individual meetings with student designers, as well as weekly production meetings and collaboration with full-time faculty member instructor.
- Preparing assignments, assessments, and course material as needed for the course
- Grading assignments, projects, papers, presentations, and/or exams and providing students with valuable and timely feedback
- Developing or updating modules in Canvas to enhance the student learning experience
Your exact instructional assignments and other academic responsibilities are determined by your Chair or Director.

Skills, Qualifications & Requirements:
Qualifications: MFA or equivalent and at least one year of college teaching. Required documents with application: cover letter, curriculum vitae and contact information for 3 references.

Stipend for co-teaching this course: $8,250
The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the College's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
