Job Description: The Director of the Writing and Communication Center ( WCC ) is responsible for coordinating and promoting WCC services and programs to address the needs of Ashland University's residential, online undergraduate, CCP , graduate students, as well as students in the Correctional Education Program. The personal attention that students receive through the WCC contributes directly to their retention at AU. The WCC provides essential writing and communication support services both to undergraduate students in the core curriculum as well as to undergraduate, graduate, and adult/online students across academic colleges. Coordinate the university's academic support for writing and speaking across the curriculum in all modalities, acting as a trainer, mentor, and liaison to the part-time student-coaching staff on best practices, writing instruction and content, supplemental materials, and other projects Support and collaborate in the development, implementation, and assessment of the Embedded Coach Program and the Accent on Communicating (AoC) initiative. This position is a twelve (12) month administrative staff role that may require some weekend and evening hours, as well as travel between campuses as needed. Required Qualifications: A graduate degree in English, Composition, Rhetoric, or related field Two (2) or more years of experience at the level of Coordinator or Director in an academic writing center Applicant Portal URL: 6858
