Position: PC Board Designer
Key Responsibilities:
Innovative Design: Collaborate with engineers to create complex and detailed PCB layouts for a variety of advanced products.
Technical Solutions: Develop creative technical solutions for working plans, detailed drawings, and electrical schematics.
Standards & Verification: Establish design standards, verify dimensions, materials, and quantities, and ensure conformity to specifications.
Leadership: Provide guidance to less experienced designers and support staff, and may oversee PCB design projects.
CAD Expertise: Utilize CAD software (PADS Power PCB, PADS Power Logic, PCAD 8.5) to develop schematics, layouts, and structural assemblies.
Documentation & Archiving: Maintain accurate documentation, identify design issues, and archive engineering data files.
Essential Functions:
Lead the development of innovative PCB design solutions.
Interact with engineering staff to discuss design concepts and progress.
Validate designs against standards and recommend changes.
Make engineering computations and adjustments using CAD software.
Coordinate with PCB vendors for manufacturing processes.
Qualifications:
Education: Associate’s degree or training certificate in electronics technology and CAD design software.
Experience: 3-7 years of progressive experience in PCB design using CAD software.
Skills: In-depth understanding of PCB design concepts, ANSI Y4.15, IPC Standards, and high proficiency in CAD software.
Abilities: Quick learner, strong organizational skills, and ability to provide creative solutions to complex problems.
Communication: Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
Flexibility: Ability to work extended hours as required.
