Scrum Master - Military Veterans

The Scrum Master will facilitate the Development process, while ensuring that our teams deliver quality software solutions to meet the evolving needs of MHK's clients. You will work closely with our cross functional teams and play an important role in both project management and process facilitation supporting the Scrum framework for CareProminence.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Running Daily Scrum Meetings
  • Schedule Sprint Planning, Heat Map and other agile activities
  • Own the Product Sprint Process, including planning and estimation
  • Manage the Sprint Impediment list.
  • Resolving any open issues/impediments that the team faces during sprint execution.
  • Sprint Planning: accountable and responsible for ensuring this meeting takes place so the team can focus on estimating stories.
  • Facilitate Product Backlog Refinement (Grooming)
  • Sprint Retrospective: helps facilitate the meeting so the team can discuss what went well and what to improve in the next sprint.
  • Risk Management and mitigation relative to scope, timeline and resources
Secondary Responsibilities:
  • Maintain JIRA Metrics and Dashboards
  • Portfolio Oversight
Job Requirements:
  • 3 years professional experience as Scrum Master
  • Prior experience as a Scrum Master in health plan operations or healthcare SaaS environment
  • Strong understanding of Agile principles, Scrum framework, or other Agile methodologies
  • Proven experience guiding and mentoring Product and Development teams.
  • Experience in recognizing issues, risks, and dependencies in all phases of an agile project and applying appropriate mitigation strategies.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem solving skills.
  • Experienced with Agile project management tools (JIRA, MS Project, Visio)
Education Requirements:
  • Certified Scrum Master or other Agile certification.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Additional Position Requirements:
  • Local to Tampa to collaborate onsite 2 days per week
  • Travel to clients for Releases may be necessary (per quarter)
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
