Site Integrated Transformer Management (ITM) System Leader - Military Veterans

As our Continuous Improvement Manager, you will lead the charge in applying the Integrated Transformer Management (ITM) System across our extended Factory Value Chain. Your goal will be to increase ITM maturity and capability, demonstrating sustained improvement in Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, and Cost. You will support the implementation of actions to improve safety, quality, operating efficiency, and factory productivity, ensuring customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategy Deployment:

  • Partner with the Factory Manager and cross-functional Leadership team to develop and operationalize the Strategy Deployment process.
  • Facilitate the development of breakthrough objectives, action plans, KPIs, and Kaizen roadmaps.
  • Lead the operationalization of Strategy Deployment, ensuring effective Factory Standard Work and a connected daily management system.


ITM Maturity and Continuous Improvement:
  • Build ITM capability through training, development, and application via kaizen, coaching, and mentoring.
  • Champion a continuous improvement culture focused on waste elimination using ITM lean methods.
  • Lead ITM system implementation and drive maturity development through ITM deployment phases.
  • Monitor ITM Maturity Development results and implement actions to achieve the ideal state of 'ITM is how we run the business.'


Performance Management (SQDIC Focus):
  • Optimize KPIs around Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, and Cost.
  • Integrate the HSE and Quality Management system into ITM.
  • Lead Cost Take-out initiatives and partner with cross-functional teams to drive cost-out and productivity.
  • Manage RELEX KPIs and Improvement projects, driving employee ownership and engagement.
  • Develop financial acumen to ensure priority actions drive organizational improvements tied to Strategy Deployment.


Improvement Projects (Cost-out Enablers):
  • Create, manage, and facilitate Cost-out Enablers and productivity projects to achieve targets.
  • Train team members in utilizing RELEX reporting for Improvement projects and ensure result sustainment.
  • Execute impactful Cost Take-out projects and train team members in assessing gaps and needs using Factory Cost Productivity and OpEx Analyzer tools.
  • Partner with Controllers and leadership to prioritize impactful improvement projects to reduce costs and improve profits.


People Capability, Training, and Coaching:
  • Build continuous improvement capability through ITM tools and methods training and implementation.
  • Serve as the ITM system expert, focusing on training and coaching others to drive process transformation.
  • Foster a Coaching culture with a focus on Employee Engagement and Accountability.
  • Combine technical knowledge with people and organizational skills to deliver maturity and KPI improvements.
  • Promote a culture of Servant Leadership, empowering team members for continuous improvement.


Qualifications:
  • BS degree in engineering or related field.
  • Multiple years of experience in manufacturing, with Transformers/Energy manufacturing experience preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience implementing and driving a Lean system (e.g., Toyota Production System, Honeywell Operating System, Danaher Business System, or similar).
  • Competencies: Results Orientation, Strategic Orientation, Teamwork and Collaboration, People Development, Influence skills, Leadership, Change Management, Process/Quality Management.
  • Strong influencing skills and ability to promote a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certified, with Lean system development and transformation experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Expertise in rapid response and communication with stakeholders, utilizing root cause analysis tools.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency with Office software, Minitab (or equivalent), and other statistical tools.
