The anticipated duration of this temporary assignment is approximately 5 months. Includes optional medical benefits, holiday pay and sick leave accrual. The Project Management Analyst manages and facilitates assigned projects in the School of Dentistry. The incumbent is expected to partner with School leadership including the Dean, Associate/Assistant Deans, Department and Division Chairs, and other members to provide project support, develop and deliver work products and execute tasks on work plans and initiatives, as directed, and will also effectively communicate priorities and updates to varied audiences and leadership levels. The nature of the projects has broad scope and impact and will be varied. The Project Management Analyst facilitates the analysis of processes and support the development of deliverables throughout the project lifecycle. Illustrative responsibilities include: defining the project scope, identifying key decision makers, engaging stakeholders, providing project support, impact assessment, documentation of current and future state business requirements, fit-gap assessment and documenting design/specifications for project work streams and change management. The Project Management Analyst will act independently in the day to day management of assigned tasks. The ideal candidate is someone who has thorough written, verbal and interpersonal skills including negotiation skills and a high level of political acumen and has sound analytical and deductive reasoning skills resulting in demonstrated good judgement in selecting methods for obtaining solutions and reaching agreements. Key Responsibilities: * Develops and advocates solutions to organizational or research program issues, including developing and administering new systems, policies, processes, or programs. * Works largely independently with senior leaders, while exercising independent judgment to: * Identify activities requiring cooperation and collaboration with peer colleagues. * Undertake research, coordinate programs, direct and review projects and related activities. * Prepare and distribute background materials, drafts for discussion with stakeholders, and final products for distribution. * Guides and directs planning involving senior management, faculty, and/or external constituencies. * Seeks to discover new, innovative ways of reaching the target audience. * Researches and summarizes best practices in the field. * Identifies problems and proposes solutions: * Presents solutions for discussion and decision by collaborative teams or senior leaders. * Collaborates with partners to coordinate the development, implementation, and monitoring of new programs and processes. * Main projects the analyst will be involved with: New Curriculum/ Accreditation * Prepares, schedules, and facilitates meetings. * Makes high-level contacts of a sensitive nature, internally and externally, requiring discretion and diplomacy to negotiate or persuade officials to adopt proposed solutions or recommendations. * Works across different teams to drive projects and problems to completion and resolution quickly. * Exercises independent judgment to: * Ensure accuracy of data used in reports and correspondence. * Evaluate strategic goals. * Provides relevant and informative data to generate status reports on project progress.
