Key Responsibilities:

The Principal Architect will provide thought-leadership in enterprise architecture strategy & planning. Assist in defining roadmaps to bridge the gap from current to future state for business capabilities. Contribute to the development of multi-year plans in alignment with business and IT strategy. Provide industry-leading thought leadership - and facilitate development of strategies across multiple teams/domains. Facilitate development of architecture patterns and standards. Consult in design of complex enterprise initiatives - and provide guidance to project teams. Consult in design of multiple projects across multiple teams. Lead enterprise architecture models and repositories. Establish communities of practice in areas of expertise. Communicate and market the enterprise architecture strategy. Coach and mentor other IT staff in area of expertise.

IT Strategy





  • Align the development of core business capabilities, information assets and technology in response to strategic imperatives


  • Collaborate with the business to evaluate business goals, identify business problems, and propose solutions




Architecture Planning





  • Provides an enterprise-wide perspective within the United IT division


  • Leads architecture strategy & planning for large programs - and provides guidance to technical staff across multiple projects


  • Model the enterprise-wide business and technology capabilities to analyze the alignment of business strategies and capabilities with technology strategy and solutions


  • Decompose business strategies and initiatives into practical multi-year roadmaps, providing clear direction on execution in order to ensure a high return on investment


  • Drive strategic and transitional planning of applications, technology, information and business functions across the enterprise




IT Delivery





  • Provide direction to internal and external resources during the selection and implementation of business systems


  • Participate in the design of business, information and technology architectures on the basis of cost, functionality and practicality




Organizational Development





  • Maintain communities of practice surrounding business analysis and IT architecture


  • Facilitate open communication and fact-based decision making


  • Research, identify, and recommend industry standard methodologies for solving business and technology problems


  • Clarify, define, coordinate and direct the work of others


  • Provide guidance to other architects

Qualifications

Qualifications - External

What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):





  •        Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Information Technology or Business or equivalent experience, education, or training


  •        7+ years applicable experience in business, information or technology architecture or 2 years applicable experience in enterprise architecture


  •        Hands-on with application development; facilitate code review (The candidate should be capable of doing hands-on work, not just high-level design so that they can help with dev team’s specific issue)


  •        Hands-on experience in migrating on-prem Applications to Cloud and handling legacy application migrations.


  •        Experience in leading technical staff or coordinating work across multiple technology teams


  •        Creativity & Innovation – The ability to define new, original ideas and successfully implement them across an organization.


  •        Strategic – The ability to visualize and plan for outcomes in the future, and sustain work in achieving the outcomes.


  •        Technical Expertise - Involves demonstrating a commitment to increasing knowledge and skills in current technical/functional area


  •        Demonstrated ability to prioritize and organize effectively to lead numerous projects and programs to meet deadlines and objectives


  •        Valuing Diversity – The ability to accept and promote diversity in concepts, processes and outcomes – in order to implement effective business solutions


  •        Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification


  •        Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position


  •        Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship




What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):





  •  Master’s degree


  •  At least 2 years’ working experience with AWS Services (EC2, ECS, S3, EMR, EKS, ALB, Route53, MSK, RDS, Redis, NoSQL Databases, Lambda, IAM, CloudWatch etc.); understanding the pros and cons of different AWS native services


  •  Proven working experience in implementing Message oriented and Serverless Architecture implementations.


  • Hands on experience in Building resilient Applications in cloud using multiple Regions.


  • Solid Experience in Big Data related Technologies like Spark, Athena, Glue and handling Batch and Streaming Ingestion Pipelines.


  • Working experience with AWS CICD services (CloudFormation, Code Pipeline, etc)


  • Working experience with Monitoring/Analytics tools (such as DynaTrace, DataDog) integration


  • Solid understanding and working experience with .NET, Java, Spring Framework, Angular, Messaging System (MQ, TIBCO EMS, Kafka, etc.), RDBMS, Microservice architecture, containerization, distributed system.


  • Experience with Harness

The base pay range for this role is $137,275.00 to $187,000.00.
The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
