Job Description:
GDIT has an opportunity for a ServiceNow Developer to support the modernization and sustainment of a large portfolio of enterprise business solutions used by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). The position supports a new program, the NASA Consolidated Applications and Platform Services (NCAPS) which consolidates enterprise-wide applications and platform services across the Agency and supports the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) Application Division transformation into the Application and Platform Service (APS) Line with agile based service delivery and IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) based service management practices.
The ServiceNow Developer will support our customer to provide modernized Enterprise Human Capital services and to implement an enterprise IT service delivery model that provides consistent, secure, high-quality, and cost-effective services to improve end user experience across the customer environment.
Responsibilities:
- Design, configure and implement functionality to support organization requirements focused on the Human Resources Core, Integration, Employee Center, and standard ServiceNow platform features.
- Secure applications through the use of standard ServiceNow groups, roles, and ACLs within NASA infrastructure.
- Create, update, and maintain ServiceNow tables, fields, forms, views, business rules, client scripts, UI actions and policies.
- Develop reusable JavaScript, and Glide Script implementations.
- Integrate ServiceNow with other applications and data sources using web services, Import Sets, Transform Scripts, and other web-based technologies such as XML, HTML, AJAX, CSS, HTTP, and REST.
- Customize and configure ServiceNow workflows and Flow Designer flows.
- Maintain Catalog items and services.
- Provide and receive constructive technical peer review feedback across the development team through code reviews.
- Thoroughly test and document developed software and configurations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical, functional, potential issues identified by end users and functional area owners.
- Provide recommendations to guide customer requirements to better solutions.
- Assist in the evaluation and recommendation of application software packages and prototyping new features.
- Work closely with customer and contractor stakeholders across a variety of service areas.
- Actively participate in all facets of the Scrum Agile development process with regular communication, knowledge sharing, story refinement, and supporting the rest of the development and testing teams to meet customer needs.
- Work within defined configuration management processes, following ServiceNow and NASA best practices, while identifying improvements, and striving to deliver functionality efficiently.
- Actively participate through multiple communication mechanisms with a focus on Microsoft Teams during core hours while working remotely and having a fair degree of work flexibility.
- Support periodic evening production deployments.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Management Systems, or a related discipline.
- Professional Experience: 4 plus years related technical experience.
- Public Trust clearance, and ability to obtain higher level, if needed.
- Experience with development on and use of the ServiceNow Platform.
- Experience with ServiceNow client and server-side JavaScript/Glide Script and the ServiceNow APIs.
- Scripting Web-Services, AJAX, Business Rules, JavaScript, REST, and integration of ServiceNow with other applications.
- Customizing ServiceNow using UI Pages, Views, Record Producers, and related UI Policies and Actions on the Portal and Console using CSS, HTML, Angular, and Jelly.
- Experience with Business Rules, Script Includes, Scheduled Jobs, Bulk data imports, data transforms, and Fix Scripts.
- Experience presenting and conducting demonstrations and sprint reviews with client stakeholders.
- Demonstrated background of creating solutions to address customer concerns and troubleshoot technical issues.

The likely salary range for this position is $62,962 - $73,434. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
