The Chief Compliance and Privacy Officer oversees the Corporate Compliance, Information Privacy and Ethics Programs at Dayton Children’s Hospital, functioning as an independent and objective body that reviews and evaluates compliance issues/concerns within the organization. This position is responsible for establishing and implementing a Compliance, Privacy and Ethics Program(s); including fraud, waste and abuse (FWA) prevention and detection program, in order to maintain the highest level of ethics and to comply with all relevant federal and state statutes, regulations and other guidance.
The Chief Compliance and Privacy Officer acts as staff to the CEO and Board of Trustees by monitoring and reporting results of the compliance/ethics efforts of the company and in providing guidance for the Board and executive/senior management team on matters relating to compliance. The Chief Compliance Officer is authorized to implement all necessary actions to ensure achievement of the objectives of an effective compliance program.
The Chief Compliance and Privacy Officer (CCO) will work closely with all members of Dayton Children’s Senior Leadership Team. For compliance department budget and personnel management, the CCO reports to the CEO. The CCO also has a dotted line reporting responsibility to the Board of Trustees.
