Job Title: Safety Manager
Location: Vernon, CA (100% onsite)
Schedule: Mon-Fri 8:00am-5:00pm
Pay Range: $29-$38 per hour (DOE)

Job Summary:
Safety Manager will be responsible for developing and executing health and safety plans in the workplace according to legal guidelines.

Responsibilities:
Prepare and enforce policies to establish a culture of health and safety.
Evaluate practices, procedures and facilities to assess risk and adherence to the law.
Conduct training and presentations for health and safety matters and accident prevention.
Investigate accidents or incidents to discover causes and help with worker’s compensation claims.
Monitor compliance to policies and laws by inspecting employees and operations.
Inspect equipment and machinery to observe possible unsafe conditions.
Facilitate 3rd party safety compliance inspections and report on health and safety awareness issues.
Recommend solutions to issues, improvement opportunities or new prevention measures.

Requirements:
- As a safety manager you must have excellent attention to detail to identify hazards.
- The ability to communicate guidelines to a multidisciplinary workforce is essential.
- Deep understanding of legal health and safety guidelines
- Ability in producing reports and developing relevant policies, procedures and emergency plans
- Good knowledge of data analysis and risk assessment
- Excellent organizational and motivational skills
- Outstanding computer skills and basic software knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
