Kelly Professional & Light Industrial is looking for a Forklift Operator to work at a premier Food Manufacturing company in Commerce, CA. Let us help you grow at work and discover the next step in your career, all while being a vital part of your community.
Shift and Pay Rate:
1st Shift- 7:00AM- 3:30PM (Mon- Friday and some weekends)
$22.00 per hour (Temp to Hire)
What’s a typical day as a Forklift Operator? You’ll be:
- Prepare and complete warehouse orders for delivery and pickup according to schedule.
- Prepare pallets according to prescribed work standards, stacking and tagging.
- Maintain shipping supplies to ensure orders ship on schedule.
- Safely operate forklift equipment and machineries as specified in zero tolerance policy.
- Receive and process inbound materials.
- Maintain inventory control, ensuring accuracy in item count and location.
- Load and unload trucks in accordance with standard work and safety protocols.
- Inspect incoming and outgoing material to ensure quality, quantity, and item accuracy.
- Do cycle count, relabeling, sampling as directed.
- Do discards, palletization, repalletization as directed.
- Prepare records and reports as required.
- Proper handling of Allergen products and equipment according to Allergen Control Procedures.
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
- Have a High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Have basic computer knowledge; Use of Microsoft Office products and SAP software preferred
- Have 1 yr. Manufacturing Warehouse experience, preferably in a chemical or food processing facility
- Have 1 yr. experience in lift truck operation and safety certification preferred
- Are able to organize work to maximize output of shipments
- Are able to read, write, and perform basic mathematical calculations, and accurately record data required.
- Are able to work well with others in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
- Are able to be respectful, approachable and team-oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment.
- Are able to work independently and/or on a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Are able to work in uncomfortable environments including hot, cold, wet and/or humid conditions.
- Are able to lift up-to 60 pounds occasionally
- Are willing to work weekends, holidays, and varying shifts as required.
