Kelly Government is seeking Passport Agents in Portsmouth NH for 2nd shift who will process US passports. Passport Agents will ensure meticulous accuracy and uphold the highest standards by meticulously reviewing passport applications and verifying printed materials. Shift Hours: 2nd shift – 3pm – 11:30pm or 3:30pm to 12am - Full Time 40 hours a week
Pay rate: $24.82 an hour (includes HW pay as cash pay out)
This is not a short-term temp job. This is a long-term job opportunity.
PLEASE NOTE - this is NOT a remote job. This is onsite at the local passport center in New Hampshire.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 1 Year of Administrative/Clerical/Call Center Experience: Previous experience in a fast-paced administrative or call center environment is a plus!
- U.S. Citizenship Required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office: We seek candidates with strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Sharp Attention to Detail: Excellent hand-eye coordination is necessary for precise quality control.
- Physical Abilities: The ability to perform repetitive tasks such as lifting, standing, sitting, and reaching is essential.
- Endurance: We require the ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
- Clear and Professional Communication: Excellent communication skills are crucial for interacting with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Quality Control Focus: You'll meticulously inspect printed passports and adhere to established procedures for document sequencing.
- Security Clearance Required: This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance (MRPT Public Trust).
- Ability to Lift 30-35 Pounds: Occasional lifting mail packages and other similar objects is required.
- Overtime Availability: A willingness to work overtime as needed is preferred.
Job Summary
This role is responsible for processing passport applications and ensuring their accuracy and security. Duties include:
- Data Management: Learning passport processing software and using it to retrieve application information, update status, and generate labels.
- Security and Quality Control: Maintaining control of passport books and cards, reviewing applications and printed materials for errors, verifying usage reports, and operating passport printing equipment. This includes using an optical character reader, chip writer, and data entry to ensure information accuracy.
- Processing and Prioritization: Removing or rejecting applications with errors, prioritizing work (expedited passports), and filling out tracking sheets or reports.
- Mailing: Generating address labels, attaching them to envelopes, and sending them through postal machines.
