Technical Writer 3 - Military Veterans

Torch Technologies is seeking an entry to mid-level Technical Writer to support the Space Training and Readiness Command (STARCOM) enterprise command and control test reporting and analysis function. The candidate will help produce and track analysis products for our Delta 12 Test and Evaluation, 1st Test and Evaluation Squadron (1 TES) customer in support of enterprise-wide flight tests, ground tests, and other simulation-based testing.

Responsibilities:

• Support 1 TES analysts in the publication of technical documents, such as final test reports and briefings.
  
• Develop and execute a review process to ensure that technical documents are properly formatted and contain the correct security markings required to comply with all applicable Security Classification Guides and Delta 12 Template Guidance.
  
• Take a proactive role to ensure that responsibilities are completed on or ahead of schedule.
  
• Work within a collaborative environment composed of Government and Supporting Contractor personnel.
  

• Provide logistics support, including Integrated Test Force (ITF) and Integrated/Capability Test Team (I/CTT) conference scheduling.
  
• Deliver management products to provide status of ongoing document reviews and associated delivery schedules.
  

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in an applicable technical field or equivalent experience
  
• 5+ years of experience as a technical writer/editor.
  
• Highly efficient with Microsoft Office Tools, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  
• Advanced writing skills with the ability to draft and review documents for technical accuracy, grammatical correctness, clarity, and consistency with Squadron, Delta, STARCOM, and DoD formatting requirements.
  
• Secret Clearance is required to start, with ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance.
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Understanding of space operations.
  
• Understanding of the United States Space Force.
  
• Experience developing, staffing, and coordinating products at a unit headquarters level.

Salary Range: $85,000-$100,000
