Position Summary: Reporting to the Senior Director, Capital Projects - Argentina, the Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for developing and executing quality assurance and standards, processes, systems, and talent management for capital projects for Arcadium Lithium in Argentina.
As part of an Argentinian project execution team, the Quality Assurance Manager is a key leadership role responsible for implementing Quality management, assurance, and control practices.
Quality is the responsibility of the line in all capital projects.
The Senior Director, Capital Projects- Argentina, and respective Project Directors are accountable for quality performance on Capital Projects. They will play a pivotal role in aligning quality standards and practices with the Company’s strategic objectives, while maintaining a focus on safety, cost and schedule.
The Quality Assurance Manager will implement risk-based assurance and controls to ensure the successful planning, execution and delivery of Capital Projects.
The Argentinian Capital Projects team will manage the following types of projects:
- All greenfield capital projects.
- All brownfield capital expansions
- All large manufacturing facility retrofits including, but not limited to, process improvements and equipment installations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Projects Quality Manager is accountable for the implementation of the Arcadium Lithium Project Management System (ALCAPS) Assurance, Governance, Knowledge and Improvement processes, and for the implementation of a robust Quality Management System (QMS) while maintaining a hands-on approach to ensure project quality.
Leadership:
- Provide directions for quality assurance strategies and plans.
- Champion quality management best practices and stay current with industry trends.
- Contribute to project management strategies.
- Collaborate with a globally diverse team.
- Tailor and implement quality processes and tools based on project needs and risks
Team and Resource Management:
- Lead and mentor the quality team, fostering a collaborative culture.
- Provide support to project teams on all aspects of quality management.
- Optimize the allocation of quality resources.
- Oversee quality resource allocation and capacity planning
- Ensure implementation and compliance with ALCAPS, regulations, and standards (e.g., ISO 9001:2015).
- Develop and maintain quality procedures and tools.
- Standardize quality requirements and practices across projects
- Develop and maintain a Quality Risk Register.
- Identify, analyze, and mitigate project risks.
- Implement a risk-based Contractor/Supplier Verification Strategy, including:
- Integrating quality in procurement.
- Evaluating bidders' quality capabilities.
- Integrating quality into contractor plans.
- Ensure quality management is embedded in all project functions.
- Conduct risk-based assurance and quality reviews.
Assurance, Improvement and Knowledge:
- Promote transparent reporting of quality issues.
- Implement incident reporting and performance measurement.
- Foster a continuous improvement mindset.
- Lead quality incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
- Manage project assessments and facilitate management reviews.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, Science or Quality Management.
- 10 years of experience in quality management, with at least 5 in a leadership role.
- Experience in quality management strategies and practices as operator using typical contracting strategies through project development phases, E, EP, EPC, EPCM etc.
- Experience in risk management, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Understanding of key Engineering principles and standards across all disciplines of engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning required in Capital Projects.
- Familiar with applicable laws, regulations, and best practices, and experience with project management software and tools.
- Experience with internationally sourced design, supply chain and fabrication supporting a range of execution strategies, including modularization
- Proven leader of safety and quality, setting expectations and being visible in the field.
- Proven experience in deploying quality management systems in complex project environments.
- Ability to lead and motivate teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
- Managing and facilitating risk and opportunity and change management within the context of project framing, planning, execution and closure
- Managing and facilitating performance analysis, improvement, learning, innovation and knowledge management practices
- Resource planning and forecasting and associated cost estimating and budget management.
- Construction contracting strategies and package preparation requirements.
- Ability to lead and influence Project and Functional Managers, and Contractors.
- Proficiency in Spanish language required, proficiency in English preferred.
- Organizational and communication skills for effective leadership of multi-disciplinary teams and alignment of project objectives between various stakeholder groups.
- High level of autonomy and meticulous attention to detail.
