Position Specific Description

As part of this mission, we are aggressively growing our transmission and substation asset production, and we are looking for a Land Supervisor to help lead this growth.
In this role, you will oversee and manage land acquisition, landowner outreach, and customer relations for NextEra Energy Transmission. Working directly with our development team and leadership, you will be responsible for establishing and executing land acquisition strategies to support the growth of our assets, as well as nurturing ongoing relationships for existing projects.
This position is remote and open to candidates based in the Central United States. We are seeking successful candidates who excel in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and possess a strong focus on detail and strategic planning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage the land acquisition process, ensuring effective outreach to landowners and customers.
- Lead a team of contract land agents and brokers across multiple projects.
- Establish and implement land acquisition strategies in collaboration with the development team and leadership.
- Foster and maintain long-term relationships with landowners and customers.
- Ensure all land-related activities comply with regulations and project timelines.
- Provide leadership and guidance to internal and external teams in negotiations and contract management.
- Deliver results in a detail-oriented, deadline-driven environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Proven experience in land acquisition, title, and transmission or right-of-way management.
- Strong leadership skills, with experience managing teams of contract land agents and brokers.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and teams across different regions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment while meeting deadlines.
- Experience in supervising land-related activities and coordinating with multiple stakeholders.

Job Overview
Employees in this role supervise a team of Land Services representatives responsible for planning, controlling, and directing real estate activities such as site location and acquisition, right-of-way negotiation, building and land acquisition and disposition, space leasing, property management, and maintenance of properties to support wind site development. Individuals in this position will be located in a field office with significant travel requirements.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
• Researches private and public records to determine ownership, mineral leases, etc.
• Analyzes and interprets legal documents
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Equivalent
- Experience: 7+ years
- Valid Driver's License (NON CDL)
