Job Summary and Qualifications

The Surgical Services Resource Coordinator is responsible for organizing and managing the administrative aspects of patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures.

What you will do in this role:  

• Coordinates the daily flow of surgical cases.

• Schedules emergency and/or add-on surgical procedures as necessary.

• Keeps OR staff informed of changes in assignments.

• Answers telephones and public inquires appropriately.

• Promotes customer service initiatives.

• Responsible for updating/creating physician preference cards.

• Corresponds with physician offices regarding patient care information

• Works closely with Board Runner to ensure good patient/flow

• Completes anesthesia charges daily

• Responsible for entering, updating and completing tissue log

• Additional duties as assigned.

• Fills in as a Certified Scrub Tech if deemed appropriate by boardrunner.

 

What qualifications you will need:

• High school diploma/GED

• Basic computer proficiency

• Excellent communication skills

• Certified Scrub Tech certification
