An EHS Specialist is needed for the world's largest standalone medical technology development company. Remote work in Colorado. This role develops and implements environmental health and safety (EHS) programs, ensures regulatory compliance, conducts risk assessments, and promotes a safe workplace through training, inspections, and collaboration with regulatory agencies.

responsibilities:
- Develop, administer, and implement environmental programs to meet governmental requirements.
- Review and analyze documentation from regulatory agencies.
- Collaborate with regulatory bodies to determine and implement corrective action plans.
- Evaluate the financial and industrial impact of proposed regulations.
- Resolve compliance issues by interacting with regulatory agencies and assisting in regulatory audits.
- Identify and take corrective action against activities posing risks to worker health and safety.
- Recommend organizational measures to improve safety through revised methods, processes, or materials.
- Inspect workplace environments, equipment, and practices for compliance with standards and regulations.
- Investigate incidents to identify root causes and corrective actions.
- Provide and promote employee training on environmental health and safety (EHS) matters.
Desired Skills:
- Experience with EHS management systems and risk assessment.
- Professional certifications or eligibility (CSP, CIH, CHMM).
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
