JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for managing the design and development of Charter's technical, customer service, sales, marketing, Charter Business, and leadership training programs. Manage vendors and internal staff responsible for program design and development. Work with Corporate Learning Solutions verticals along with various customer stakeholder and subject matter expert teams, leverage existing materials, direct vendors, and develop programs to establish consistent Charter curriculum.
This role is On-site, Charlotte 4 days. 1 Day Hybrid.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
Lead design and development of learning solutions for corporate functions including HR, Physical Security, Legal, Information Security, etc.; serve as creative and planning resource to internal customers and training directors.
Manage design and integration of learning solutions for corporate functions including HR, Physical Security, Legal, Information Security, etc. into a comprehensive curriculum for each training function; ensure each course is instructionally sound and provides the learner with a high-level learning experience.
Assess clients learning situation, expectations, resources, constraints, learning needs, learning gaps, and task in relation to the organizational mission and goals.
Manage development of training programs based on business and performance objectives identified by stakeholders, project managers, clients, and subject matter experts.
Manage and direct design and development work of vendors.
Prioritize workload of curriculum development staff.
Mentor and coach curriculum development staff.
Lead the development of innovative programs that increase customer satisfaction and generate revenue.
Work with clients to secure approval of new and updated learning materials.
Manage team escalations and partner with clients to drive resolution.
Act as an instructional design subject matter expert.
Partner with functional training managers, supervisors, and points of contact to establish train-the-trainer delivery and certification.
Manage integration of content, such as product training, across training functions.
Research and analyze training options, delivery methods and techniques.
Create and implement evaluation plans to demonstrate business impact of all training initiatives.
Partner with peers on all curriculum development responsibilities.
Maintain current knowledge of latest industry standards, tools, and processes.
Keep abreast of current learning and performance strategies, delivery methods, and techniques.
Plan and manage all instructional design projects.
Collaborate with subject matter experts and conduct training needs assessments.
Provide effective implementation of instructional products and programs.
Manage implementation of ROI forecasting and impact studies of training initiatives.
Manage external resources to maximize cost effectiveness and quality.
Manage Curriculum training budget and staff.
Perform other duties as requested by supervisor.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Required Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
Ability to communicate orally and in writing in a clear and straightforward manner
Ability to communicate with all levels of management and company personnel
Ability to deal with the internal customers in a professional manner
Ability to make decisions and solve problems while working under pressure
Ability to manage multiple projects to meet target dates for implementation
Ability to operate personal computer, spreadsheet application, database, windows
Ability to prioritize and organize effectively
Ability to show judgment and initiative and to accomplish job duties

Required Education
Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Human Resource Development, Business Administration or related field required
Specialized training in instructional design methodologies required
Required Related Work Experience and Number of Years
Instructional design experience - 5
Project management experience - 2

Knowledge of cable television products and services a plus
Skills in instructional design methodologies
Knowledge of a variety of training delivery systems
