Basic Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent is required plus a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.

Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities for this Position

Entry level ECAD Librarian conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with engineers and PCB Designers in the design, development, and utilization of software to create a representation of components, modules, or complete products for the ECAD tool library.

Xpedition knowledge highly preferred. EDM knowledge desired.

With training and guidance the candidate should be able to determine user needs:

Advise hardware designers on characteristics that affect PCB board documentation such schematic symbols, land patterns, and component outline requirements while adhering to corporate symbol and cell guidelines.

    • Fulfill component librarian duties, including the creation of component footprints, generation of schematic symbols, and entry of new parts, as well as maintenance of existing components in the ECAD library system.
    • The candidate will collaborate with electrical, components, manufacturing, and other engineering disciplines in the development of ECAD library parts to support the Siemens/Mentor Graphics Expedition Enterprise Tool Suite.
    • Knowledge of Siemens Xpedition EDM based Libraries.
    • Self-motivated and strong attention to detail
    • Work independently and produce quality work
    • Ability to take constructive criticism and make changes towards improvement
    • Ability to work in fast paced, high volume ECAD Library environment
    • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal with ability to take direction from peers and coworkers
    • Ability to navigate Windows operating system and associated applications (MS Office Products)
    • Familiarity of ECAD design tools, strong Siemens/Mentor Graphics, some Cadence
    • Familiarity with Analog, Digital, RF and Electro-Mechanical components
    • Knowledge of ECAD library parts including logic symbols, cells (footprints), padstacks and logical to physical pin mapping.
    • Ability to follow corporate processes in creating library symbols and footprints
    • Ability to read and interpret manufacturer datasheets and drawings
    • Ability to research and find manufacturer datasheets to aid in creation of library symbols and footprints
    • Knowledge of IPC, Military and Industry Standards and Specifications
    • Implement design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for test (DFT) practices to develop quality designs
    • Team player who thrives in collaborative environments and revels in team success

Salary Note

This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled.

Combined Salary Range

USD $24.40 - USD $26.17 /Hr.
