Safety & Compliance Engineer (E7 Wedgetail) - Military Veterans

STS Aviation Services is expanding rapidly, and we’re looking for a Safety & Compliance Engineer to join our growing team at the Birmingham Hangar. This is your opportunity to contribute to the success of the UK’s leading MRO by ensuring compliance with aviation safety regulations and company policies.



Key Responsibilities





  • Ensure full compliance with EASA Part 145 and national regulations while staying updated on regulatory changes.

  • Assist the Safety & Compliance Manager in creating and implementing the Part 145 audit programme.

  • Conduct scheduled Safety & Compliance Audits as outlined in the audit plan.

  • Perform unplanned quality audits upon request from the Accountable Manager or Nominated Post Holders.

  • Report findings and concerns promptly and ensure corrective and preventative actions are completed within designated timelines.

  • Support the management of the Part 145 certifying staff authorisation system.

  • Prepare and submit MOE revisions, including Form 3 submissions.

  • Manage and maintain documentation systems, ensuring proper tracking of forms and revisions.

  • Provide additional compliance and safety support as needed to meet operational requirements.



Qualifications & Experience





  • Comprehensive knowledge of EASA Part 145 regulations and their practical application.

  • Formal aviation technical training completed.

  • Current certifications in Human Factors (HF), Fuel Tank Safety (FTS), and Electrical Wiring Interconnection Systems (EWIS).

  • Proven experience conducting audits within an aviation environment.

  • Eligible for UK airside security passes (per DFT regulations).

  • A full, clean UK Driving Licence and valid passport for travel.

  • Previous experience in an aircraft maintenance environment is essential.

  • Familiarity with staff certification authorisation processes.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).



Role Details





  • Location: STS Birmingham Hangar

  • Hours: 40 hours per week

  • Travel: Occasional travel within the UK and abroad is required.
