Coordinator of Visitor Services (MUSEUM EDUCATOR 1 TX) Job Summary The Coordinator of Visitor Services will contribute to making the Manetti Shrem Museum a dynamic site for engagement with art and ideas. The incumbent will join an energetic team and will assist the Manager of Visitor Experience with the implementation of an active visitor services program, with a student-driven front-of-house staff. The Coordinator of Visitor Services will be responsible for assisting the Manager of Visitor Experience with daily operation of visitor amenities including staffing the lobby welcome station and galleries. This includes providing a welcoming environment for a broad and diverse range of visitors from faculty and students to families, visiting scholars, and major donors. As a customer service representative, the incumbent will ensure that all aspects of the museum's operations create a safe, secure, and accessible environment that contributes to an excellent visitor experience while maintaining the security of exhibitions and collections. Relevant experience in museum visitor services, engagement and/or customer service. Organizational experience including project coordination and scheduling. Experience working with diverse audiences. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook in a Windows environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience working with students in an academic museum setting. Experience in and appreciation for contemporary art. Ability to use interpersonal, communication, collaborative, negotiating and team-building skills to establish and maintain good working relationships with colleagues, and campus community. Ability to meet required timelines with a high degree of accuracy and quality.
