Position Summary

Salary & Compensation

*UCLA provides a full pay range. Actual salary offers consider factors, including budget, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations. Salary offers at the top of the range are not common. Qualifications

  • Minimum of five years of experience in sales, marketing and/or business development with thorough knowledge of sales/marketing mediums and funding sources. (Required)
  • Experience in evaluating marketing outcomes, synthesizing data, and preparing concise, insightful reports. (Required)
  • Experience establishing, overseeing and evaluating collaborations and projects, and in developing support among both internal campus constituencies and external partners. (Required)
  • Experience with and understanding of issues involved in a team-oriented environment made up of diverse individuals with a variety of interests, strengths and professional preparation. (Required)
  • Experience working in educational and/or nonprofit, client service-oriented environment is highly desirable. (Preferred)
  • Thorough knowledge of marketing, sales and communication principles, media and techniques. (Required)
  • Strong skills in managing event and media activities. (Required)
  • Strong time/project management and planning skills; ability to identify and set priorities, perform detailed needs analyses, identify stakeholders, develop action plans, segment projects into their component parts, and manage the process from inception to completion. (Required)
  • Outstanding verbal communication/interpersonal skills; proven ability to engage/build relationships with diverse stakeholders, including senior leaders/external partners; ability to work collaboratively across teams/departments, maintaining a team-oriented approach to achieve collective goals. (Required)
  • Excellent written communication skills to create a wide variety of correspondence, proposals, strategic plans, reports, project plans and presentations; able to successfully deliver effective/impactful presentations to individuals/groups and efficiently convey a variety of data/material. (Required)
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills; ability to assess information, situations, practices or procedures, successfully identify and resolve problems in a timely manner using tact, sensitivity and political acumen. (Required)
  • Proficiency in leveraging technology, including the Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software, with the ability to quickly adopt new systems and tools in a prompt efficient manner. (Required)
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and exercising discretion in all interactions, handling sensitive information with professionalism. (Required)
  • Detail-oriented, goal-oriented, well organized and focused with a high level of initiative and energy. (Required)
  • Creative and resourceful with ability to work effectively in a large, complex and dynamic organization. (Required)

  • Background Check: Continued employment is contingent upon the completion of a satisfactory background investigation.
  • Ability to travel to off-site meetings and events during regular business hours, evenings and weekends in an efficient manner, sometimes with little advanced notice. (Required)
  • Ability to work evenings and/or weekends as needed to meet deadlines. (Required)
  • Ability to travel as needed.
