We are seeking a Payroll & Accounts Payable Specialist to support our team with a variety of accounting tasks. The ideal candidate will have experience in certified payroll for public works or prevailing wage jobs, strong proficiency in QuickBooks and ADP payroll systems, and solid Excel skills. This is a fast-paced position requiring attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable: Process high-volume transactions, review bills for approval, and update financial systems.
Certified Payroll: Prepare and report certified payroll for multiple projects, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
Data Entry & Reporting: Input and verify data, generate reports, and identify discrepancies.
Software Use: Proficient use of QuickBooks, ADP (payroll), and Excel (basic formulas, pivot tables, report generation).
Additional Support: Assist with various administrative tasks such as supply ordering, coordinating with project managers, and supporting new hire processes.
Qualifications:
Required: Certified payroll experience (preferably in public works or prevailing wage jobs).
Excel: Proficiency with basic formulas, pivot tables, and report generation.
Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and correct errors.
Communication skills: Comfortable collaborating with team members and asking clarifying questions when needed.
Prior experience in accounts payable or payroll processing is preferred.
Personal Traits:
Ability to handle a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks at once.
Self-motivated and quick to learn new processes and systems.
Comfortable in a direct, team-focused work environment.
