Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring our metal processing operations meet industry standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to process improvement, quality assurance, and overall operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Assurance:

Develop and implement quality standards, procedures, and inspection protocols for metal processing.
Conduct inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications.
Analyze and resolve quality issues using root cause analysis and corrective action plans (CAPA).
Process Improvement:

Identify and lead initiatives to optimize manufacturing processes and reduce defects.
Collaborate with production teams to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
Utilize lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other methodologies to streamline workflows.

Testing & Analysis:

Perform material testing (e.g., tensile strength, hardness, corrosion resistance) using specialized equipment.
Monitor and analyze key quality metrics, generating reports to track performance trends.

Compliance & Documentation:

Ensure compliance with industry standards such as ISO 9001, AS9100, or other applicable regulations.
Maintain detailed records of quality inspections, audits, and test results.
Prepare documentation and reports for internal and external audits.
Supplier and Customer Collaboration:

Evaluate and qualify suppliers based on quality standards.
Address customer complaints and implement measures to resolve and prevent recurring issues.
Communicate effectively with clients regarding quality concerns and compliance requirements.

Team Training & Support:

Provide training to employees on quality processes, tools, and techniques.
Support cross-functional teams in meeting quality objectives.
Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
Experience: 2 + of experience in quality engineering, preferably in a metal processing or manufacturing environment.

Technical Proficiency:
Knowledge of metalworking processes (e.g., casting, forging, machining, welding).
Familiarity with quality tools like FMEA, SPC, PPAP, and MSA.
Proficiency in using inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, and Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM).
Certifications (Preferred): Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, CQE (Certified Quality Engineer), or equivalent.
Skills:

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Proficiency in statistical analysis and quality management software.
Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
