We are seeking a Foreign Item Processing Specialist. This role is ideal for candidates with a background in claims processing, check handling, and banking operations.
Location: Irving, TX 75063
Pay Rate: $19.89/hr
Workdays: Monday- Friday
Hours: 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
Anticipated duration: 6-month contract with potential for extension/conversion
Responsibilities:
- Process checks with high accuracy, ensuring understanding of check fields.
- Conduct research on items using bank mainframe systems
- Receive and scan incoming mail for processing.
- Ensure the highest level of attention to detail and accuracy, with zero discrepancies expected.
- Record information precisely and maintain meticulous documentation.
Requirements:
- Experience in check processing and claims handling.
- Familiarity with banking mainframe systems (AS400, Hogan, CICS).
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel/Word) for reporting and documentation.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a quiet, focused environment without distractions (no phones, music).
Preferred:
- Exposure to AS400 and similar systems.
- Foreign Item processing experience preferred
- Previous experience in claims processing or teller roles.
- This position requires individuals with strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to accuracy in a sensitive work environment.
