Human Resources Generalist - Military Veterans

We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Human Resources Generalist with a SHRM or CPP certification and a strong background in benefits administration, HRIS, and employee relations. A bachelor’s degree is required, and being bilingual in English and Spanish is highly preferred. This role will collaborate closely with the Chief People Officer (CPO) to ensure efficient workflows, accurate employee data management, and seamless administration of benefits and employee relations initiatives. Knowledge of Paycom software is a must.

Key Responsibilities:
Benefits Administration
Manage the online HRIS benefits system, assisting employees with benefit selections.
Educate employees on benefit plans (e.g., health, dental, vision, life, LTD, STD, retirement) based on eligibility.
Address benefits inquiries promptly and holistically manage the open enrollment process in collaboration with brokers and vendors.
Collaborate with the Payroll team to ensure accurate benefits deductions.
Audit and process benefits invoices, liaising with insurance providers, brokers, or employees as needed.
Oversee and administer leave of absence (LOA) processes, including eligibility, requests, and return-to-work procedures.
Handle workers’ compensation claims, collaborating with the Director of Safety to investigate employee accidents, ensure timely claims filing, and manage costs.
Participate in the Safety Committee to address safety issues, recommend compliance measures, and train staff and managers.
HRIS Administration & Employee Data Management
Partner with the Talent Acquisition Manager to maintain an accurate, compliant, and effective HRIS system.
Collaborate with Payroll and other departments to design HRIS workflows, ensure data integrity, and implement system improvements.
Leverage Paycom software for HRIS management and reporting.
Provide technical support and guidance to employees and the HR Coordinator regarding digital and physical file organization.
Employee Relations
Assist the CPO in addressing grievances, complaints, and conducting investigations as needed.
Provide guidance to managers on human resources policies, performance management, and disciplinary actions.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (required).
Certification: SHRM-CP/SCP or CPP (required).
Language Skills: Bilingual in English and Spanish (highly preferred).
Software Expertise: Proficiency in Paycom software (required).
Experience:
Proven experience in benefits administration and HRIS management.
Strong understanding of employee relations and workplace policies.
Familiarity with safety compliance and workers’ compensation processes.
Skills:
Exceptional organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
