Sub Arc Welder (Night Shift) - Military Veterans

Welder Job Responsibilities:
- Work from the directions of the supervisor to move Wind Tower sections, set up and operate the mig welders, Follow and complete daily build schedule.
- Weld, grind, and repair each Wind Tower section prior to presenting it to the Quality Inspectors. This person will also repair all weld defects as directed by the Quality Inspectors
- Perform most of the work individually. Essential tools and welding equipment will be provided, however, accountability and maintenance will be the employee's responsibility
- Work timely and expeditiously to deliver an on-time product without manufacturing errors
- Perform other duties as directed by leaders and management
- Actively participate in department safety, demonstrate excellent safety practices and behaviors which conform to all safety policies and procedures. Follow all OSHA safety regulations and wear prescribed PPE as required.
- Embrace culture of Lean Manufacturing and the implementation of change
- Ability to identify and communicate maintenance or product problems to departmental supervision
- Must be a person of passion and integrity who has the drive to excel and deliver exceptional results
- Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.
- Comply with all Keystone Tower Systems Company and Safety policies and procedures.
- Ability to read labels, safety warnings, and guidelines
- Ability to learn basic computer skills to communicate via email, document daily work and progress, and track procurements and status
- Always attentive to detail and alert to ensure safety
- Ability to receive and follow instructions and communicate with co-workers
- Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
- Graduation from high school, military schools, vocational school, recognized craftsman apprenticeship program or equivalent
- At least five (5) to ten (10) years of experience in a combination of two or more skilled trades including knowledge of and ability to use tools materials and methods
- Current welding certifications (Recently expired certifications may be acceptable contingent upon the ability to successfully requalify prior to employment.)
- OSHA 10-hour safety course would be a plus
