The UNCG School of Music seeks Piano Technician for full-time employment with benefits. The UNCG School of Music, a fully accredited member of NASM since 1938, is a unit of the College of Visual and Performing Arts, and is the only institution in North Carolina offering comprehensive degrees in music performance and music education from the baccalaureate through the doctorate with over 70 faculty members teaching a music student body of c. 600 majors. For years, the Schools alumni have distinguished themselves in important professional positions throughout the world while its student ensembles continue to perform frequently in prestigious state, regional, and international settings. Since 1999, the School of Music has occupied a building that affords students and faculty up-to-date technology and an outstanding environment for all aspects of music study and performance. Greensboro, equidistant between Atlanta and Washington, DC, between the mountains and the seashore, has been designated an All-American City. Greensboro is extremely arts-oriented and, along with its sister cities in the Triad (Winston-Salem and High Point), provides a vital cultural stimulus to the entire Piedmont region and state of North Carolina.
The primary purpose of this position is to provide piano maintenance and repair for our pianos as well as preparation of concert grands prior to rehearsals and performances. Responsibilities include:
Piano Maintenance and Repair in faculty studios, classrooms, ensemble rooms and practice rooms.
Concert preparation of all concert grands before rehearsals and performances as needed.
Management of the piano inventory.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalency and two years of experience related to the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of training and experience.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience in tuning and maintaining concert instruments and establishing collaborative relationships with professional colleagues.
Five years of experience preferred.
