Housing Inspector - Military Veterans

Housing Inspector
Full-Time Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay $24+ hourly

Join our team as a Housing Inspector, ensuring safe and habitable living environments for tenants. You'll perform detailed inspections of housing units, primarily within the HUD Housing Choice Voucher program, to ensure compliance with the National Standards for the Physical Inspection of Real Estate (NSPIRE).

Key Responsibilities

-Conduct comprehensive inspections of housing units.
-Identify and document deficiencies, using the NSPIRE scoring system.
-Communicate findings and required repairs to landlords and property managers.
-Generate detailed reports with clear documentation and photographic evidence.
-Reinspect to confirm completion of necessary repairs.


Qualifications

-Knowledge of building codes, HUD regulations, and NSPIRE guidelines.
-Strong communication, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
-Familiarity with plumbing, electrical systems, heating/cooling, and structural components.
-Physical ability to access all areas of a unit.
-Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred, with conversational proficiency.


Additional Requirements

-Familiarity with housing programs (HCV, LIHTC, HOME) and federal/state regulations.
-Strong client service and conflict resolution skills.
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office and housing management software.
-Valid Colorado Driver’s License.
