A leading EPC firm is seeking an experienced construction inspector to join its team in Coral Gables, FL.
This role focuses on monitoring, evaluating, and reporting on construction progress while providing technical support and oversifght to ensure quality and compliance. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and contractors to resolve any issues and ensure successful project delivery. Typical projects include overseeing civil testing for soil and concrete, and municipal water/sewer installation projects. You should have a background in water main and piping inspections.
Candidates should have a GED (Associates is preferred) and 10+ years of experience in field inspections work. You must be able to pass a drug screen and background check, while also having a valid driver's license. Inspection certifications and construction materials testing (CMT, ACI, soil/concrete) are all preferred. Local candidates only at this time. OSHA 10 REQUIRED.

responsibilities:
- Monitor project progress, review schedules, and evaluate contractor proposals for corrections or delays.
- Interpret construction drawings, manage contractor submittals, and oversee QA/QC for contract compliance.
- Lead evaluations of change requests, claims, and cost proposals while managing all onsite project documentation.
- Supervise contractors' inspections, field testing, and ensure safety, quality, and ethical standards are met throughout the project.
