PA Program Manager Title: PA Program Manager Location: Midtown Org Unit: Administration Work Days: Weekly Hours: 35.00 Exemption Status: Exempt Salary Range: $102,200.00 - $117,100.00 *As required under NYC Human Rights Law Int 1208-2018 - Salary range for this role when Hired for NYC Offices Position Summary This position oversees and provides leadership to administrative and operational activities of the Weill Cornell Medicine Physician Assistant Program. QUALIFICATIONS : Organized, energetic, self-motivated person who is a problem solver with an appetite for learning and enjoys a multifunctional role with broad scope. This position will work closely with the Program Director to oversee functions in multiple programmatic areas, including budget, degree progress, compliance, select curricular functions, and data management. Strong written and verbal communication, as well as an outstanding eye for detail and accuracy, are a must given the high degree of oversight/quality control. Job Responsibilities Serves as Department Administrator for the PA Program. Responsible for all aspects of administrative management of the PA Program, including Recruitment & Admissions, Student Life & Diversity, Curriculum, Academic Advising and other central administrative services. Directs and oversees WCM PA Program Administrative staff including: Admissions Coordinator, Curriculum Coordinator, Student and Academic Affairs Coordinator. Oversees management of space and facilities for the education mission, liaises with Event Services and Engineering and Maintenance to ensure scheduling, staffing and maintenance. Responsible for departmental human resources activities, information systems, data and budgeting reporting and all other operational activities, creating and maintaining a high performance work culture. Works in collaboration with appropriate units of ITS, including ETG and ESO to provide appropriate support for PA education. Works in collaboration with Associate Dean on all aspects of registration services and Student Services related to the PA program. Works with Associate Dean and staff in development and monitoring of budgets, monitor, and approve expenditures. May perform limited forecasting and provide recommendations that determine the budget. In collaboration with Associate Dean assists in execution of WCM PA program policies. Represent the program or function as the key contact and subject matter expert within the department, unit or school. Commit resources and provide information and/or training. May also represent the program or function to external/internal stakeholders and constituencies. Supervises relevant staff to assist in the delivery and support of relevant programming; provides training and feedback as necessary; conducts annual performance appraisals of staff. Establishes and reinforces clear expectations of superior performance and service, particularly through the establishment of team-oriented and proactive office culture. Independently implement, administer and evaluate day-to-day activities of the program by identifying and executing tasks and objectives, making recommendations that impact policies and programs, and assigning resources to achieve the goals of the program. Organize and/or participate in outreach activities that may include developing communications and training, planning/promoting events and/or conferences. Maintain program and student information for NCCPA, oversees ordering of exams and correspondence with PAEA and assists in management of the ARC-PA portal. Performs other related duties as directed. Education Bachelor's degree and three years of relevant experience, or combination of education and relevant experience. Master's degree in higher education, educational administration or related field is highly desired. Experience A minimum of five years experience working in the field of higher education administration or similar business line. Knowledge of issues confronting PA/medical students or similar doctoral level students desired. Ability to direct the work of others for jobs requiring supervision. Relevant subject matter knowledge Licenses and Certifications Working Conditions/Physical Demands Constantly perform desk-based computer tasks. Frequently stand/walk, sitting, grasp lightly/fine manipulation. Occasionally use a telephone. Rarely lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh 11-20 pounds.
