Job Description Support Services Associate | Urgent Care Center | NYC Exciting Opportunity at MSK: We are looking for a Support Services Associate to join our Urgent Care Center. They will be responsible for following established Environmental Services policies, transporting patients to and from patient floors, and ensuring patient comfort while in the unit. Role Overview: Transports patients (on stretchers or wheelchairs) to and from patient floors, other departments for testing, and or to other areas of the unit, while ensuring accurate patient identification Performs standardized procedures for cleaning of all assigned areas within established timeframe by supervisor. Takes immediate and appropriate action for any situation in which the patient is experiencing a problem, while advancing to other staff members if necessary Handles all waste streams following waste management procedures. Responds to inquiries directly or by referring to the appropriate MSKCC staff/department. Key Qualifications: High School Diploma/GED Prior housekeeping and/or inventory experience Ability to lift up to fifty pounds in relation to material/patient transport Core Skills: Strong attention-to-detail and the ability to maintain accurate documentation of patient location and condition A strong customer service orientation, ensuring a positive experience for both patients and their care takers Ability to work within a fast-paced environment, responding quickly to patient needs in the face of any issues or immediate health/safety concerns Additional Information: Location: 1275 York Avenue, New York, NY Shift: 10-hour shifts (2pm - 12am); Monday through Friday with holiday/weekend rotation Pay Range: $22.52-$31.13 Helpful Links : MSK Compensation Philosophy Review Our Greats Benefits Offerings Closing MSK is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer committed to diversity and inclusion in all aspects of recruiting and employment.
