Lecturer (Doctoral Schedule) - Theory and Practice - Computer Science FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT The Computer Science Department at The City College of New York is inviting applications for a Lecturer Doctoral Schedule position. The selected candidate will primarily focus on teaching and will have opportunities to collaborate with faculty members on research activities and other professional initiatives. The Department is seeking candidates with experience in one or more areas of data science, machine learning, cybersecurity, computer architecture, programmable and adaptive architectures, as well as parallel and distributed computing. Students majoring in Computer Science represent the diversity of New York City's population. The Department of Computer Science is committed to providing them with a curriculum that satisfies both the technical demands of today's business and the research needed to meet tomorrow's information requirements. As a department within the Grove School of Engineering, the City College Computer Science Department undergraduate and graduate curriculum reflect synergies with engineering fields that differentiate its programs within the City University system. The successful candidate will be assigned to teach undergraduate and graduate courses, mentor students at all levels, and contribute to the overall academic community within the department. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Qualifications: Ph.D. in Computer Science or related field Other Qualifications: Experience teaching at the undergraduate and graduate level and a strong commitment to excellence in teaching Professional experience within the industry COMPENSATION Salary Range: $88,998 - $98,309 CUNY offers faculty a competitive compensation and benefits package covering health insurance, pension and retirement benefits, paid parental leave, and savings programs.
