HOW A SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR SENIOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
- Manages the functionality, communication, and efficiency of interconnected computers running on one or more operating systems.
- Design, plan, implement, and administer enterprise level systems and server solutions in a virtualized infrastructure.
- Develop, plan and implement processes to maintain integrity and security of servers and systems.
- Sets up and manages administrator and service accounts.
- Perform analysis, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery for servers.
- Develop and monitor policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.
- Provide guidance and work leadership to less-experienced staff members.
- Design, develop, and document PowerShell or other equivalent scripts for administrative functions.
- Identify the need, create and maintain system documentation.
- Develop and implement testing strategies and document results.
- Provide tier 1 and 2 support.
- Configure, manage, and maintain servers within a VMWare virtualized environment.
- Working knowledge of maintaining systems, applying STIGs and patches, and perform, firmware updates.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Server 2012r2 and 2016 servers.
- Working knowledge with Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) servers (preferred).
- Experience with McAfee Host Based Security System (HBSS) - agents and ePolicy Orchestrator (EPO).
- Maintain current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.
- Ability to participate in special projects as required.
- May be assigned as a team lead.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Education: Technical Training, Certification(s) or Degree: BA/BS or equivalent years of experience.
Certification: 8570 certification: IAT Level II Certification (CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, or SSCP) AND Computing environment certificate in Microsoft Windows (MCSA) or equivalent within 6 months of hire.
Required Experience: 5+ years of related experience of systems admin Windows Server 2012 or later.
Required Technical Skills: Windows Server 2012+, STIGs, HBSS,
Security Clearance Level: Must be able to obtain and maintain SECRET
Required Skills and Abilities: Communication, problem solving, trouble shotting, train Assoc and INT level team members.

The likely salary range for this position is $80,750 - $109,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
