Medela's US-based manufacturing and development facility is headquartered in McHenry, Illinois www.medela.com This position requires an on-site presence in McHenry, IL.

Education/Experience Requirements - Accounting Supervisor
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related major preferred
- Supervisory experience necessary
- Minimum three years experience in a staff accountant or related role required
- Accounting experience within a manufacturing or distribution industry environment is a must
- Thorough understanding of accounts payable functions
- Minimum three years experience with an ERP system, SAP preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to motivate staff
- Experience working in an environment with global objectives
- Must be able to read, understand, and communicate in English
Position Responsibilities – Accounting Supervisor
- Supervises employees by planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems
- Trains and oversees employees
- Directs assigned tasks and provides assistance as needed
Supervises Accounts Payable
- Timely processing of vendor invoices
- Review weekly vendor payments for accuracy
- Resolve invoice discrepancies
General Accounting
- Assisting with monthly closings
- Balance Sheet account reconciliations to ensure accurate statements
- Intercompany Reconciliations
- Monthly journal entries
- Fixed Asset Maintenance
Cost Controlling
- Expense Report Compliance Audits & Training
- Vendor Master Maintenance
- AP Monthly Metrics Reporting
- Backup for AP Processing
- Supervises Sales Tax Processing
- Process sales tax returns
- Tax certificate maintenance/audits
- Other miscellaneous tax functions
Other duties as may be assigned
Travel as necessary, up to 10%
