FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

The Computer Science Department at The City College of New York is inviting applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level. The selected candidate will lead a variety of teaching and research activities in computer science, collaborating with faculty members.

Candidates with expertise in one or more of the following professional areas are being sought: data science, machine learning, cybersecurity, computer architecture, programmable and adaptive architectures, as well as parallel and distributed computing.

The successful candidate will be expected to actively engage in research, teach both undergraduate and graduate courses, mentor students at all levels, and contribute to the overall academic community within the department.

As a department within the Grove School of Engineering, the City College Computer Science Department undergraduate and graduate curriculum and research activities of its faculty reflect synergies with engineering fields that differentiate its programs within the City University system.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in Computer Science or related field

Preferred Qualifications:
  • An outstanding academic or industrial record
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to excellence in undergraduate and graduate teaching
  • Ability to attract significant research funding

COMPENSATION

Salary Range: $99,532 - $110,000
