Utility Banker - Military Veterans

Client Services Utility Banker
Location: San Mateo, CA (Must be able to float to San Mateo, Redwood City, and Los Altos)
Pay: $26.00/hour Salary: $54,080/year
Type: Temp-to-Hire

We are seeking a Client Services Utility Banker with a strong banking background to join the team. This role involves opening new accounts, conducting teller transactions, and providing exceptional customer service across multiple branch locations. Candidates must be comfortable with background and credit checks.

Responsibilities:
• Deliver outstanding customer service via in-person, phone, and email interactions.
• Open new accounts and maintain a high level of knowledge about bank products, services, and fees.
• Perform teller transactions, including cash handling, accurately and efficiently.
• Follow all bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Review daily reports and ensure all operational work is completed accurately.
• Build relationships with clients, relationship management teams, and internal departments.
• Maintain a professional image and exceptional interpersonal skills.

Qualifications:
• Education: High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a related banking role (e.g., teller, universal banker, personal banker).
• Strong cash handling and customer service experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to float between branch locations as needed.

Compliance Requirements:
• Maintain knowledge of relevant banking laws and regulations, including BSA, OFAC, and SEC regulations.
• Attend compliance-related training and ensure adherence to all compliance policies.
