Accountant - Military Veterans

SUMMARY: Reporting to the Controller, the Finance, Planning & Analysis Accountant plays a key role in financial planning and analysis, working with multiple systems, and supporting strategic decision-making.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.Adaptive Model management
2.Administration system support for Workday Adaptive
3.Scenario development for strategic decision making in Workday Adaptive
4.Lead the annual budgeting process and perpetual forecasting efforts
5.Document the budgeting and reforecasting process, and cross train accounting staff on the process
6.Find and build solutions for current recurring problems
7.Project management and SharePoint
8.Serve as a backup delegate to other accounting staff when they are sick or on vacation

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 5+ years budgeting and accounting experience
• Experience working in complex environments with multiple reporting segments
• Experience working with senior management directors and supporting their staff
• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Proficiency with the following software is highly desired

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field preferred or equivalent work experience
• CPA license a plus

COMPUTER SKILLS:

• Must be proficient in Windows, Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel formula skills, Sharepoint & One Drive
• Ability to learn new Accounting software and systems
• Workday Adaptive
• SAGE Intacct or other Accounting Software
• Wrike Project management
