The Physiastrist is accountable for providing day-to-day medical care, rehabilitation team guidance, and medical leadership for inpatient rehabilitation unit and supporting all aspects of inpatient rehabilitation management. This position rotates between 1 week inpatient rehab unit managing medically complex patients, 1 week consults and 1 week outpatient clinic. This role reports directly to the Rehabilitation Medicine Chief of Service. The position requires participation on relevant departmental and hospital committees as assigned as well as 10 covered Weekend calls per year.
Candidates must be Board Certified in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation. A current, active and unrestricted Medical Doctorate (MD) or Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) license to practice in NY and current DEA License is required. Salary range: $225,000 - $240,000. The salary range listed is for full-time employment and does not include incentive compensation or benefits. Actual salary may not fall within the listed salary range; consideration will be made for experience, training, hospital/community need, and other factors.
