Founded in 1979, the Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth (CTY) is a center for innovation dedicated to advancing the field of gifted education through research on testing, programs, and other supports for advanced learners. On the premise that advanced learners come from every community and every demographic, we aim to understand and inform how these students need to be nurtured to achieve their full potential as learners and global citizens. CTY also runs in-person and online academic programs for bright learners in order to cultivate a community of advanced learners and connect students in and outside the classroom. We are seeking two (2) Administrative Coordinators (Medical Records Reviewers) who will review non-medical information on student profiles in the CampDoc online medical record system, collaborate with CTY Administrative Nurses, consult with full time staff and student families to ensure students have completed and accurate medical profiles in preparation for the CTY In-Person Programs. The position will end no later than June 13, 2025. Specific Duties and Responsibilities: Access and review student medical profiles within the CampDoc medical system. Promptly follow up with parents via email and phone to ensure complete and accurate medical profiles for CTY summer programs students. Trouble-shoot medical system issues with CTY full time staff as needed. Provide CampDoc navigation support to internal and external clients. Communicate with CTY full time staff on the status of student medical profiles. Interact independently with CampDoc system, email, and phone. Submit hours worked via established system according to schedule provided by CTY. Additional duties may include reviewing and providing feedback to CTY full time staff about CTY In-Person Programs training materials. Consult with external customers on health-related question Collaborate with internal CTY Departments. Specific Physical Requirements: Ability to sit in a normal seated position for extended periods of time. Dexterity of hands to operate a computer keyboard, mouse pad and other office machinery. The incumbent will be required to communicate regularly via telephone and face to face with internal and external customers and must be able to exchange accurate and timely information in these settings. Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: General computer literacy and ability to use an online medical system; ability to quickly learn new software as needed. Positive, proactive, and professional written and spoken communication skills using various technology. Additional Information: The successful candidate must provide his or her own computer and broadband Internet access; expenses for these items are not reimbursable. All employees participating in or serving children in university programs must participate in mandatory Child Abuse Prevention online training on the appropriate conduct around children, protecting children from abuse and neglect, and reporting of known or suspected child abuse and neglect. Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or graduation equivalent. Three years related experience. Additional education may substitute for required experience, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula. Preferred Qualifications Advanced candidacy for nursing or other medical degree. Experience working as a CTY health assistant or in a camp health office. Experience working with CampDoc online medical system.
