Job Description:
Under the general supervision of the WEOC Assistant Dean of Academic Affairs, the Program Specialist/Program Development & Evaluation serves as a member of the Academic Affairs team. The Program Specialist provides support in all aspects of program development.
The Program Specialist supports the development of curriculum for academic and workforce preparation programs in alignment with industry standards and in support of WEOC's goals and mission. They work with Department Chairpersons and Program Administrators to research and write to revise, refresh, and enhance existing programming to reflect current market trends and projections. They conduct industry and market research and analysis to inform relevancy of workforce development programs and their outcomes. They also consider appropriate pedagogical strategies to ensure that curricula meet the needs of a diverse student population.
The Program Specialist also supports management, evaluation, and continual improvement of programming by ensuring that systems and frameworks of evaluation are established, documented, and fully operationalized. The Program Specialist monitors the evaluation process to ensure the timely review of programs. The Program Specialist collects, analyzes, and interprets data, and prepares detailed reports and presentations on findings, highlighting successes, and areas for improvement.
The Program Specialist may also secure and maintain partnerships with external partners. The incumbent does related work, as required.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: The successful candidate must possess a Bachelor's Degree and two years of experience in the field of education, educational administration, or a closely related field.
This position requires a combination of innovative mindset, analytical skills, and attention to detail for program effectiveness. The successful candidate must have a good knowledge of education; the ability to establish and maintain professional relationships; sound professional judgment; integrity; initiative; resourcefulness. Strong writing skills are necessary. The successful candidate must possess good knowledge of technology and MS Office applications. They must also be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: It is strongly preferred that the successful candidate possess a Master's Degree in any of the above fields.
