The Blueprint (Role Profile)

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, this position is responsible for maintenance and repair of machines and equipment in York, PA manufacturing plant.

The Build (Responsibilities)

  • Install, maintain, and repair all machines, mechanical or process equipment, and physical structures in assigned area.
  • Follow standard work methods and maintenance procedures using the tools of several trades to perform skilled duties such as routine carpentry work, millwright duties, and masonry work.
  • Plan the work in cooperation with supervision and engineering.
  • Aid in design and installation of new equipment, as needed.
  • Perform pneumatic, hydraulic, and plumbing repairs.
  • Perform advanced welding procedures.
  • Perform various preventive maintenance and maintains plant facility.
  • Report unusual conditions or questionable items to supervisor.
  • Keep work area clean and orderly.
  • Maintain records as required.
  • Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.


The Toolbox (Qualifications)

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 1 years related work experience.
  • Knowledge of basic hydraulics and pneumatics.
  • Able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Capable of working to extremely close tolerances.
  • Able to work overtime (more than 40 hours per week) including Saturdays as required.
  • Stand and walk continuously for 8 hours, if necessary.
  • Climb stairs and ladders.
  • Lift and carry 50 pounds.
  • Able to operate forklifts and aerial lift equipment.
