The Blueprint (Role Profile)

Key responsibilities for the Financial Analyst include assisting with monthly reporting & analysis, coordinating financial forecasting activities, ensuring alignment among departments, and completing ad hoc analysis in support of business initiatives & strategic projects. The selected candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Reporting to the Sr Manager, Distribution Finance, this role will be based from our Apex, NC location.

The Build (Responsibilities)

  • Review financial status by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts
  • Analyze results, identify trends, recommend actions
  • Develop & track key performance metrics and perform ad hoc analysis
  • Provide support to the business during the monthly close, quarterly forecast, annual budget and reporting processes
  • Compile and publish standard reporting schedules and walks for use in monthly review presentations
  • Develop monthly reports & analysis for review of DC & business unit performance
  • Ownership as a primary point of contact at select distribution facilities
  • Provide support and ad hoc analysis for capital projects and strategic initiatives
  • Coordinate development of operational assumptions for forecasts and budgets


The Toolbox (Qualifications)

  • Bachelor' Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
  • 2+years' experience in manufacturing or distribution finance handling reporting, consolidation and financial analysis, required.
  • ERP experience preferred (SAP strongly preferred).
  • Prior experience developing financial models preferred.
  • Hyperion Planning & Essbase Experience preferred, super-user experience a plus.
  • Experience in the development and maintenance of financial reports using analytic applications or other source databases a plus.
