Room Service Server - Military Veterans

Job Specific

Room Service:

  • Prepares silver, room service trays, coffee etc. at start of and throughout shift, as required
  • Presets trays and carts as required throughout shift. Prepares each tray for specific order requirements
  • Checks all Room Service Orders for accuracy and completeness prior to departing kitchen
  • Delivers Room Service Orders to guestroom in a timely manner
  • Sets up and serves order in guest room, according to guest preference and Loews Hotels Standards, in a polite professional manner
  • Obtains proper charge authorization or payment for orders delivered
  • Completes all necessary paperwork accurately and legibly
  • Picks up soiled Room Service trays and carts from guestrooms and corridors as needed
  • Cleans and maintains Room Service area and equipment
  • Delivers amenities to guestrooms


Refreshment Pantry:
  • Inventories guest room Refreshment Pantries to determine consumption by guest
  • Prepares Refreshment Pantry charge ticket and forwards to appropriate cashier for billing to guest account
  • Replenishes Refreshment Pantry items consumed
  • Inspect Refreshment Pantry contents and maintains freshness of product
  • Cleans and maintains refreshment pantry appearance to established standards
  • Removes consumed amenity items and/or Room Service trays from guest rooms
  • Completes DND/No Service, inventory and in-house guest list paperwork and reports
  • Communicates discrepancies regarding Refreshment Pantry usage to Captain
  • Restocks and rotates Refreshment Pantry attendant cart supplies


Guest Valet:
  • Retrieves orders for processing of guest valet from guest rooms according to hotel policy
  • Verifies accuracy and completeness of information on valet ticket received from guest
  • Completes necessary log entries to record receipt of guest valet order
  • Sorts, separates and tags guest valet articles for processing by laundry/dry cleaner
  • Organizes cleaned and processed guest valet orders for return to guest
  • Inspects and verifies completeness of valet order being returned to guest
  • Returns completed valet orders to guest room according to established hotel procedure
  • Completes required log entry to document return of guest valet order to room
  • Files valet reports appropriately for documentation and review as necessary


General:
  • Completes required set up / preparation, at beginning of shift
  • Inspects all equipment prior to and at end of shift, reports any needed repairs to supervisor
  • Inventories supplies at beginning of shift, obtains supplies necessary to support forecasted level of business
  • Performs delivery, placement and any required set up of amenities and/or equipment requested by guest
  • Completes assigned closing duties at end of shift
  • Other duties as assigned


General
  • Promotes and applies teamwork skills at all times
  • Notifies appropriate individual promptly and fully of problems and/or unusual matters of significance
  • Is polite, friendly, and helpful to guests, management and fellow employees
  • Executes emergency procedures in accordance with hotel standards
  • Complies with required safety regulations and procedures
  • Attends appropriate hotel meetings and training sessions
  • Maintains cleanliness and excellent condition of equipment and work area
  • Complies with hotel standards, policies and rules
  • Recycles whenever possible
  • Remains current with hotel information and changes
  • Complies with hotel uniform and grooming standards


Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • One plus years experience as Food Service /Room Service Attendant in quality food service/hotel operation
  • Thorough knowledge of quality food service techniques and standards
  • Exceptional guest service attitude and abilities
  • Ability to lift and carry food service trays weighting 35+ pounds
  • Ability to work flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays
